When Expedited Freight Makes Sense

Urgency, downtime, production risk, and delivery commitments can justify expedited service.

When urgency is real

Expedited service may be appropriate when production is stopped, a customer commitment is at risk, replacement parts are critical, or a fixed event cannot move.

What changes

Expedited planning may prioritize rapid pickup, more direct routing, dedicated equipment, team service, or other time-focused options.

What to provide

State the true ready time, hard delivery deadline, facility hours, commodity, weight, dimensions, and consequences of delay so options can be evaluated accurately.
